I’ve spent two great years at Nomad BJJ. The trainers and sparring partners are all humble and the atmosphere is great. If you want to challenge yourself and learn a martial art that works and is like a game of chess, come and try Nomad BJJ. I’ve pass last two years in that BJJ Gym great Instructor’s and sparring partner, incredible knowledge of techniques! Comme and try it, it’s like playing chess with human body.

Where to start?

The atmosphere is incredible! It’s a place where positivism, mutual aid and team spirit come first! What’s more, the course content is staggering! Richard Martens is an excellent trainer, and we’re lucky to have such an exceptional coach in Sherbrooke.

The core of the gym is just as important: the brown, purple, blue and white belts are there to help and advise, and are a pleasure to work with.

Finally, I’ll end with the sport: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very tough, both physically and mentally. I’ll always remember my first class for life, I was a bit overweight, with false confidence and a questionable network. It was one of the worst nights of my life, but that night I learned that I was resilient, and despite the pain, humiliation and exhaustion, I never stopped and began to grow through the sport. In every class, you find yourself in situations that are difficult to handle, but you know there’s a solution, a technique to counter the attack and keep on fighting.

You can easily apply this philosophy to every aspect of your life. In short, I could talk for hours about how sport and the people who practice it have changed my life in a very positive way, but to find out if it’s true, you’ve got to come and try it! Take risks in life, get out of your comfort zone, just one class could change your life! 😀 See you soon!

Nomad is the perfect place in Sherbrooke to learn and develop your skills in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing (Muay Thai) and MMA (mixed martial arts). The instructors are highly experienced and know how to pass on their knowledge to beginners and experienced students alike. It’s a welcoming club frequented by friendly people.

Eric

Already 4 years of Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing training at Nomad. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient. There’s also a great clientele including students, young professionals and a few in their forties – like me – who want to keep fit. I highly recommend that you come and give it a try… you’ll be surprised.

I tried kickboxing on the recommendation of a friend of mine who was a regular at this gym. From the very first session, I loved it. Christian, the teacher, adapts according to people’s level and is a super good instructor, so despite the fact that I was a total beginner when it came to martial arts and combat sports, I was easily able to follow and participate. I sometimes found myself the only girl in a class with a majority of men twice my age, and I never felt uncomfortable. Not only are the teachers welcoming, but so are the other participants. I loved it and I’m definitely going back next year!

Vincent

I went to this gym for BJJ, but they also offer kickboxing. This gym is run by high-caliber instructors. You can train frequently, as there are classes on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday lunchtime and every weeknight. The gang is very welcoming and the advanced students are respectful and generous with their knowledge.
